East Of Kensington

I rarely watch short films but East of Kensington was one I came across the other day on Google. Perhaps you can guess that it's about Peter Pan due to Kensington Gardens and I thought 'another happy adventure in Neverland then is it'?

Well quite the opposite it appeared as I read the synopsis:

I completed My First Zelda Game!

You're probably thinking, 'seriously? Only now?'

Well yes. 24/01/14 is the date that marks this historic moment.

The game in question of course is A Link Between Worlds and what a fantastic game it is! Honestly I felt like I was back in my early NES days playing this which has a more retro feel to it than many current day games. Especially the way you can upgrade your armour and weapons along your journey while discovering hidden caves and secrets on one world map.

Gantz

I actually watched the live action films of Gantz before the anime and whereas I enjoyed it there were some differences between the two. Most notably the main character- Kei Kurono. In the film he appeared a bit innocent. In the anime at times he was an obnoxious brat with a foul mouth. However you do see his character develop as the series progresses.

Marine Boy Intro

It occurred to me that when I published my Marine Boy post last year I didn't include the opening of the japanimation show.

In fact there were two openings. Both featured exactly the same scenes however a theme song was later added. Here are both intros.

Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons PS3

I recently purchased a 3DS and was looking forward to playing Zelda: A Link Between Worlds however I was halfway through a game I downloaded off the PS store so decided to finish that first and I'm very happy I did.

Developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by 505 Games, Brothers is an adventure game set in a fantasy world where two siblings set out to obtain a cure for their sick father. Having already lost their mother in an accident at sea they don't want their father to pass away too.

Xena: Warrior Princess

In a time of ancient gods,
Warlords and Kings,
A land in turmoil cried out for a hero,
she was Xena,
A mighty princess forged in the heat of battle.

The power. The passion. The danger.

Her courage will change the world.

That awkward moment when a spin-off becomes more popular than the original series...right Hercules? This TV series was very kick-ass to say the least and remains in my top 5 series of all time. I own the series on DVD and revisit it on the odd occasion. There are so many awesome things that made me fall in love with the characters of Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, Ares, Callisto and many more.

Tom & Jerry & The Dancing Fish

There comes a time in your life when you know you have to publish a certain post regarding an old cartoon. In this case it's Tom & Jerry that I used to enjoy as a kid.

A cartoon that was once proclaimed too violent...

It's nothing compared to today's standards.
