W Is For...Wild West C.O.W.-Boys Of Moo Mesa!

So I'm coming towards the end of the A-Z series and for W I have chosen an old cartoon I used to watch which stars cows as cowboys! Clever? Of course the cartoon is Wild West C.O.W.-Boys Of Moo Mesa. 

I had forgotten about this cartoon until I came across the video game on my modded Xbox and the memories came flooding back!

Although those memories are still a bit fuzzy.

Basically we have a cartoon with multiple references to cows, cowboys, Indians, bulls and whatever else comes to the imagination concerning the wild west.

I can't honestly remember the storyline but from what I understand I think a meteor struck the earth mutating the cows into the cowboys they are now etc. I'll have to grab a copy of the series to be sure. However, I know they fight evil.

The series was aired between 1992-1993, so it's no surprise I forgot about it, and was created by Ryan Brown, a comic book artist.

The 3 main characters are...wait for it...

Marshall Moo Montana, The Dakota Dude & The Cowlorado Kid.

They battle the likes of The Masked Bull, Saddle Sore and Boot Hill Buzzard.

So yeah, classic cartoon character names as you find in many shows. Of course without them you wouldn't have the charm the cartoons provide.

Often you'll find characters named after something related to them. Such as a greedy villain being called 'Mr. Goldpocket'

So yes I can't remember a great deal of this cartoon but do remember the intro above. I do know that I enjoyed this as a kid and I'm looking forward to it again :)
