There's Millions Of Dead Fish All Under One Shoe!

It's called Toys R Us!

Wait...

Is that right?

Well anyway Toys R Us was the place to be when I was a kid. Every trip to Cardiff had to include a visit to my favourite toy shop otherwise I wouldn't be a happy bunny. Seriously, being dragged around clothes shops with your parents is ultra boring. It was Toys R Us or no go!

The store was massive and filled with shelves and shelves of toys! Well it seemed huge to me when I was little anyway. I would always go looking for the latest action figures from my favourite TV shows such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, Biker Mice From Mars, Bucky O'Hare and more! This shop was just magic to me!

I collected the vehicles from the shows too such as the turtle van, zords, bikes and spaceships! If I can dig them out I'll post them here on Matropolis.

Back in the early 90's you had to take a slip of paper out of a plastic wallet on the wall and take it to a counter if you wanted to buy a video game in Toys R Us. How things have changed right? Now you can just download them online!

Toys R Us also sold bikes and cars for kids and that's probably where mine came from. Whatever floats your boat Toys R Us would have something for everyone. That includes a headache for Mum and Dad and less money in the bank.

I really miss the feeling of excitement I experienced when entering Toys R Us and could spend hours wandering around the store. Obviously it wouldn't be the same these days unless you're an avid collector of toys and games. I haven't been to Toys R Us since they knocked it down and moved it to Cardiff Bay.

However if I ever have kids I want to see the excitement on their faces just like I experienced. Although not so much the headache and empty bank account...

Ah! I remember the theme song now!

Urgh...so it wasn't dead fish all under one shoe? Oh...

Moving on...anyone have any pet goldfish?
