It was when I was in Magic Kingdom, Orlando, last year that I decided to create my own blog. I was watching the 'Celebrate A Dream Come True' parade and as all of my Disney childhood memories passed by in floods I started thinking of those good old days. My first friends, cartoons, video games. I thought to myself that I could write a book on it. Then a few seconds later I had decided...I'm going to create my own blog!
And as you can see I did.
It wasn't too hard. I enjoy writing and consider myself to be quite creative. I wanted the title to include my name somewhere so it would be personal to me and had a few friends help me on that. This was to be a blog where I could express my childhood memories as well as write about present and future topics.
I didn't know if I would keep it up for long but one year later here I am still blogging away! Even though I post less frequently now there are no plans to stop. Especially with New York Comic Con coming up in October!
So after deciding on a title, layout and colour scheme that would change several times, I was ready to publish my first post.
I started off with something simple. Just a write up about a game on the playstation that I had purchased for a friend off Ebay.
That game was Heart Of Darkness and you can read my first ever post here
Since then I've covered more games as well as some cartoons like Bucky O'Hare and anime such as Naruto, Marine Boy, Fullmetal Alchemist and my experiences at comic con.
For my 100th post I wrote about Monkey Island as it's one of my top video game series of all time. Since then I've been doing this A-Z series with 'N' being next which will be an anime.

My favourite post of all time has to be a recent one where I managed to interview Evan Bonifant! I contacted him on Facebook and he's a really sound, down to Earth guy. You can read the interview here
7. Marine Boy
There will be many more to come!
I'm now active on YouTube where I participate in weekly high score challenges on retro games with a small group and talk about topics to do with gaming and soon anime. So please check out my channel- Matropolis86
Of course though...a HUGE thank you to everyone who reads or has read my blog and those who support me in writing it. I've received positive feedback and welcome all criticism. At the end of the day this is something I love doing and if people enjoy my posts than that's even better.
Also thanks to Xenorama who gave me some helpful tips when first starting this blog.
I've really enjoyed interacting with people I've met throughout this blog and if you'd like to get in touch with me then please 'like' my Facebook page
