Disney's Adventures Of The Gummi Bears

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly with stories to share!
All through the forest,
 They sing out in chorus,
Marching along as their song fills the air!

Gummi Bears!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere,
High adventure that's beyond compare,
They are the Gummi Bears!

Ah Saturday morning cartoons when you were a kid. Nothing beats them. Whether it was Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Batman: The Animated Series and a lot more; each played a definitive role in my early life. Those days were great and I loved my childhood. Just a ton of fun, innocence and no worries.

Hakuna Matata!

So Gummi Bears! Not the kind you eat or that weird music video but the old 80's cartoon!

How great was that theme music!? Very catchy!

The Gummi Bears live in a tree called Gummi-Glen where they hide from the humans and ogres who want their mystical potion Gummiberry juice which grants the consumer the ability to jump very high.

The Gummis consist of Gruffi (grumpy), Zummi (magician), Grammi (granny), Tummi (greedy), Sunni (Princess wannabe), Cubbi (knight wannabe) and later Gusto Gummi although I can't really remember him. What I do remember is Cubbi became best friends with a boy called Cavin which I always thought was Calvin. He's a squire to Sir Tuxford, don't remember him either, although I do remember the King and the Princess whom Cavin has a crush on. I very nearly wrote Calvin then! He helps Cubbi and the Gummis protect their secrets against the evil Duke Sigmund Igthorn (remember him!) and his somewhat dull army of ogres. He quite often attempts to overthrow the King and fails. With an idiot sidekick ogre called Toadie what do you expect?

Considering I was probably 4 or 5 when I watched this cartoon I do remember it was a lot of fun. I downloaded the theme music some years ago because I loved it that much. In fact I'm probably going to listen to it after writing this.

Maybe I'll look up some episodes on Youtube...you're never too old for cartoons ok!?

I would love some Gummiberry juice at the moment too but will settle for Cranberry! Does that give you any abilities?

This is your basic fantasy story of Kings, Princesses and knights but with bouncing bears thrown in for fun!
