I honestly thought the WWE couldn't surprise me anymore and I usually guess who the winners will be but The Undertaker losing at Wrestlemania (really???) shocked me beyond belief. The streak is over.
I thought The Undertaker would always be remembered for never losing at Wrestlemania and what a legacy it would have been if not for Brock Lesnar ending his streak after three F-5s to the phenom last night.
I have never seen a crowd so stunned in my entire life. The look of sheer shock upon their faces as what just happened was trying to sink in. I'd have loved to see my face when that moment occurred. The crowd definitely weren't happy and I'm pretty sure I heard some cries of despair too.
The definition of shock is this guy |
But you know now that I've had time to think about it if Undertaker wanted this to be his last match then why not lose? If the streak continued the WWE Universe would expect him to show up at every Wrestlemania. So I guess to get closure and officially retire then he would have to be defeated on the grandest stage of them all.
I know a lot of fans won't be happy but the WWE knows how to cause controversy and make cash.
So yeah Undertaker lost but left behind one hell of a legacy and he'll be remembered for years to come.
Well done WWE, I never saw this one coming!
